I'm the heart behind Labor With Lou Doula Services, and I provide doula support before, during and after birth!What would it look like if our community felt supported, informed, and excited for motherhood? If we came along side of each other, and celebrated the wins, grieved in community, and empowered people to strive for the birth they CAN have. I believe we could change the way we look at the rich journey of motherhood, and specifically our experiences around birth. So that's part of why I took the leap and decided, it's time to "doula."

About me

I'm an Alaskan at heart, but my husband and I call Colorado home for now! You can catch me traveling around the globe for many reasons, but it's normally to see all my nieces/nephews. I prayed up this season as a little girl, and it's now real life! When I'm not in that auntie world, you can find me outside adventuring with my little family- my husband Jordan and pup Yufi! It is a rich life.
Call me crazy, but I think I came out of the womb loving birth, babies, and all that stuff. I'm here for all the birth stories. All the pregnancy funkiness. Tell me everything.
That's how I've lived most of my life. In all honesty though, I have always dreamed of being a doula! At age 5, I was fortunate enough to watch the home birth of my sister. I often look back at those moments, and am reminded just how precious birth and the early days of postpartum can be.
Fast-foward to 2023, I worked in women's health, and got to love and care for mothers who were pregnant and preparing to welcome their babes to the world. I always said, "if I could do this, but also be at their birth, this would be a dream." I did love the connection that came with building friendship with families through their 9 month journey, but always felt like a deep desire of mine, walking alongside women in birth was not being fulfilled.So here I am just a few years later- doing the best of both worlds!

Birth Doula Package

  • A complimentary "meet and greet" before any commitment is needed! It's a time where I can better understand your desires, what I can offer as your doula, and then decide if we're a good fit! I like to say "There's a doula out there for everyone. Suppose I'm that, great. But if not, I want to make sure you are connected with someone who is.

  • Unlimited phone/text support through your pregnancy

  • 2 prenatal visits to go over birth wishes, comfort measures, and talk about any concerns or questions you may have etc.

  • I'm on-call for you starting at 38 weeks til delivery

  • Full labor coverage and immediate postpartum support

  • 1 postpartum visit ( preferably around 2 weeks PP) to debrief birth, answer any questions, and provide any resources you may need

$500

I am in the process of becoming fully certified through DONA International, so I am offering my services at a discounted rate.
Because of this, I do not bill insurance at this time.

I never want finances to be the reason you don't hire a doula. If this is the case, please reach out!
